BuyAndSellABusiness.com is excited to join The Upside Foundation, a charity that offers Canadian companies a unique opportunity to give back by pledging to donate part of the value of their business.

We at BuyAndSellABusiness.com have pledged 3% of our company’s equity. That equity will be converted to a donation in the event of the future sale of our company or other liquidity events (such as an IPO), and the proceeds will go towards helping a Canadian charity of our choosing.

BuyAndSellABusiness.com has been operating for eight years providing a marketplace for aspiring entrepreneurs to find their passion. Our values as a company align with those of the foundation, which according to the website, include:

· Growth: The foundation is focused on working with as many companies as possible in order to establish equity pledging as a best practice amongst founders in the Canadian startup ecosystem.

· Impact: The foundation facilitates equity pledges for any companies headed for a liquidity event, with a focus on maximizing the donations made to Canadian charities.

· Diversity: The foundation aims to engage founders, team members, and Board Directors from across Canada, that are diverse in age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ability, to draw on a range of perspectives and optimize our potential for positive impact.
