$5.6m for a 30-second Super Bowl Commercial
During Super Bowl LIV, we’ll see everything from the death of Mr. Peanut to the first big game Porsche ad in 20 years. Each year big brands seek viral moments with spots many viewers ignore as they head to the bathroom, top up their drink, or check in on their social media accounts…and this comes at a big cost.
The average cost for a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl has ranged from $37,500 at Super Bowl I to around $2.2 million at Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000. By 2015 (Super Bowl XLIX), the cost doubled to around $4.5 million. And this year (wait for it….) the cost for a commercial during Super LIV has reached $5.6 million!!!!!
This doesn’t discourage us at BizON. We are focused, curious and love marketing in order to drive exposure for our sellers and attract quality opportunities for our buyers. With all this in mind, we’re in and want to ride the Super Bowl viral train!
