Recently, BizON conducted a survey of millennials to determine which industries they would be interested in exploring in order to purchase an existing business or franchise. We cross referenced this with the data within BizON and we are excited to say that the results are in! Furthermore, with eCommerce companies, achieving a balanced lifestyle is possible and provides millennials with a ton of growth opportunities while being their own boss. Don’t be discouraged if you’re not an eCommerce person, other non-eCommerce industries such as restaurant/food services and health/fitness came in at a close 2nd and 3rd, therefore, there is still a great appetite and opportunity for brick and mortar businesses and franchises.
One thing that is becoming more and more popular is the debate between salary or freedom, and of course salary isn’t completely irrelevant for millennials. But, there are certainly other factors that play into their desire to work in a particular industry that provides them with the freedom to make impactful decisions and take control of their life in order to be happy and build a dream.
